The 19th interdisciplinary postgraduate course and international workshop on Electroporation Based Technologies and Treatments. Part of the University of Ljubljana’s PhD programme in Biomedicine.

Hybrid on-site and online format. 64 attendees: 38 participants (29 on-site, 9 online) and 22 lecturers (21 on-site, 1 online) from 22 countries. On-site registration closed in mid-October due to high interest.

Week-long programme covering electrical properties of cells and tissues, membrane electroporation mechanisms, in vitro and in vivo electroporation, device and electrode development, tumor electrochemotherapy, and gene transfection. Morning lectures and afternoon hands-on labs (21 lab exercises).

Highlight: roundtable discussion “Non-thermal ablation and drug delivery by electroporation: expanding current indications” on November 13, with 100+ participants worldwide.

Since inception in 2003: 1,288 participants from 46 countries.
