In March 2013, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) have issued two interventional procedure guidelines on electrochemotherapy treatment and care of people with specific tumours. The first NICE interventional procedure guidance gives recommendations on electrochemotherapy treatment for patients with metastases in the skin from tumours of non-skin origin and melanoma. For details on this guidance see here.

The second one provides recommendations on electrochemotherapy treatment for patients with primary basal cell carcinoma and primary squamous cell carcinoma tumours. For details on this guidance see here.

These two clinical guidelines are based on the best available evidence and will help healthcare professionals in deciding about appropriate care for specific clinical circumstances. Currently, two additional NICE guidelines on electrochemotherapy treatment are in preparation.
