The world is facing many challenges and finding solutions is not obvious. Globally, we are meeting complex challenges that we – and I think we can all agree on this – need to be addressed and can only be addressed globally with interdisciplinary research. Electroporation research is truly interdisciplinary and is also proving to be potentially useful in addressing some of our current and future challenges.

Iris Haberkorn from ETH (Zurich, Switzerland) presented a lecture entitled “PEF in food treatment and microalgae” at the recently concluded Electroporation-Based Technologies and Treatments School in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
