DESCRIPTION:The First Latin American Workshop on Electroporation and its Applications is being organized by the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires\, with the purpose of promoting its use in the region\, and of reuniting academics from different disciplines\, such as Biology\, Medicine\, Veterinary and Food Processing doing research in electroporation\, as well as developers and users of electroporation-based technologies. \nTentative list of titles of the workshop includes\, but is not limited to: \n\nGene Electrotranfer: applications in health\nElectrochemotherapy: applications in cutaneous and subcutaneous tumors in oncology\nIrreversible electroporation: applications in gliomas\nElectrolytic ablation and electroporation\nBasic models in EP based protocols\nPulsed electric fields in food processing\nPanel discussion of cases\nRoundtable on the use of electroporation-based technologies in health and biotechnology in Latin America
