Brief presentation of the institution

The Antenna group was established in 1968 with comprehensive experimental facilities housed in the Antenna Measurement Laboratory. The group has strong links with industry as well as in- reach and outreach activities with other world-leading antenna laboratories. Research in the Laboratory is directed by Prof. Clive Parini (FREng) along with academic staff and assisted by part-time Research Professors, and full-time support staff.
As part of the Electromagnetics and Antenna activities, the group has focused on the interactions of electromagnetic waves with biological matter (from cellular to body levels), both experimentally and numerically. This type of work is carried out within the lab itself or sometimes collaboratively with other Queen Mary schools, such as biological sciences or the school of Engineering and Materials Science.
