CL SENES is leader in solar energy research in Bulgaria.
The research is focused on: new materials preparation and study, development of new technological processes for highly effective solar energy converters, design of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems.

Electrochemical instrumentation, i.e. sensitive and fast potentiostats/galvanostats and a FFT-impedance spectrometer, is available for the investigation of electrical and electrochemical properties of lipid bilayers and their dynamics in a wide frequency range. Voltage/current transient processes up to the microsecond range can be recorded. The physical properties of lipid bilayers can be investigated in the presence of substances with pharmacological application and or various small carbohydrates (sucrose, glucose) and their food substituents.
